David T. Thibodeau is Managing Director of Wellvest Capital. David is a seasoned corporate finance executive within the wellness industry with a successful history of entrepreneurship, corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions and equity raising. He was an early player in the consumer health and wellness sector where he has developed a particular expertise over the last 25+ years. Prior to founding Wellvest Capital, David spent 10 years at the investment bank Canaccord Genuity (formerly Adams, Harkness and Hill), where he was responsible for the evolution of the firm’s Healthy Living practice into the broader and more robust Health, Wellness and Lifestyle sector. Over that time David was an advisor on many of the industry’s leading and transformative M&A transactions that have defined the evolution of the emerging wellness industry.
David earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Babson College, graduating with honors. Over the years he has been an active volunteer and is currently a member of the Board of Overseers for the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. David is an avid downhill and cross-country skier, enjoys golf and tennis, is an active outdoorsman, and has been a private pilot since he was 18 years old. David and his wife of 20 years, Charlotte, live in historic Beacon Hill, Boston and very much enjoy the special relationships they have developed with their 24 nieces and nephews.
Robert B. Rafferty II is a Principal with Wellvest Capital. Rob has over twenty-five years of experience in finance with a broad depth of expertise spanning private equity/venture capital, business transformation, corporate finance, operations and investment administration. This includes successes in multiple industries with a focus on consumer products, alternative investments and management consulting. Prior to joining Wellvest Capital, he was a Managing Director in the Asset Management practice of Accenture, by way of the acquisition of Beacon Consulting Group. Preceding this was over a decade as CFO/COO for CP Baker & Co. where he was responsible for overseeing the operations and financials of multiple portfolio company.
Rob graduated from Providence College, Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he has been active in his community supporting and volunteering at various organizations and charities including the South Shore Community Center, Mad River Glen, Best Buddies International, and the Pan Mass Challenge. Rob’s personal time is spent with his wife and family of four children plus pursuing numerous sporting activities; he is an accomplished skier, cyclist, equestrian and surfer.

Prior to his executive leadership role at Emerson, he was the operating unit head/general manager of Novartis Consumer Health in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Prior to this role, he was head of sales for Novartis OTC, Americas. In 2011, as general manager of Genomma Lab, US, he helped build them into the $100 million U.S. operation they are today.
He started his CPG career in 1985 with Bristol Myers Squibb after graduating from the University of Tennessee.
A recognized industry analyst and thought leader, Len Monheit has over 20 years experience in the natural products and dietary supplement industry, with over 15 years background in digital media. Mr. Monheit has participated in dozens of speaking engagements across 4 continents, talking about best business practices, industry trends across the health and wellness industries, and success factors for international business development.
With a background in Biopharma and biotechnology, and as General Manager of a contract research and analytical lab, Mr. Monheit, in 1999, co-founded NPIcenter, which grew over the subsequent 8 years, to be the largest online media enterprise in the North American Natural Products industry. Selling that to Penton Media’s New Hope Natural Media in 2006, Mr. Monheit joined Penton/New Hope as digital media director, ingredient portfolio manager, market leader and ultimately Executive Director of Strategic Business Development.
Taking on the role of General Manager, US, with UK-based William Reed Business Media, Mr. Monheit, over 3 years, introduced two new annual conferences to the US (Food Vision and Probiota) and was responsible for a tradeshow launch (The Healthy & Natural Show) in Chicago in May of 2016. Mr. Monheit had responsibility for all of William Reed’s activities in the Americas, including FoodNavigator-USA, NutraIngredients-USA, as well as Pharma and Cosmetics publications, in addition to international partnerships and growth projects.
